Paixões do leitor: a convocação afetiva no conto “Baleia”, de Graciliano Ramos

Based on the principle that the study of reading, or more specifically the passional effects of meaning raised from reading, joins the analysis of the text itself, the aim of this article is to draw attention to the peculiarities of the interaction established between the author’s aesthetic work and the reader’s affective response. For this purpose, we are going to present a theoretical discussion about the subject, followed by an inquiry of the enunciative procedures employed by Graciliano Ramos on the shortstory “Baleia”. The idea is to comprehend the dynamics which conducts the reciprocal cycle between the pole of production and of reception of the literary enunciation, the poetic process that recovers the sensible experience as a form of opening to the affective interaction.Com base no princípio de que o estudo da leitura, ou, mais especificamente, dos efeitos de sentido passionais suscitados a partir dela, alia-se à análise do próprio texto, o objetivo do presente artigo é o de chamar a atenção para as peculiaridades da interação estabelecida entre o trabalho estético do autor e a recepção afetiva do leitor. Para isso, apresentaremos uma discussão teórica sobre o assunto, seguida de uma investigação dos procedimentos enunciativos empregados por Graciliano Ramos no conto “Baleia”. A ideia é compreender a dinâmica regente do ciclo recíproco entre o polo da produção e o da recepção do enunciado literário, o fazer poético que recupera a experiência estética como forma de abertura à interação afetiva
